Community Info Booths

With respect to community outreach information booths at local events is really where the magic happens. Coupling our efforts with existing events allows for a heightened level of attention and exposure the masses. However, designing a booth to be colorful, attractive, engaging and interactive is absolutely critical to truly capture and retain the interest of large audiences. The SGV Bike Plan information booths utilized large maps, a colorful spread of materials, branded canopies, roll up banners, and most importantly...a large smile backed by a spunky, energetic and welcoming positive attitude. Having a group of multilingual representatives is a MAJOR plus too. Blend this recipe and the result is a more informed public that is open to converse, fill out surveys, mark-up maps, conduct interviews, take pictures and ultimately become fans of the bicycle movement. Needless to say, the information by way of feedback, comments and input helped further inform the SGV Bike Plan.
